PrestaShop Module Installation

Step-by-step guide to installing and configuring the SATIM Gateway module for PrestaShop.

1. Installation & Activation

Before using the SATIM Gateway module in PrestaShop, ensure your system meets the following requirements.

Requirements

  • PrestaShop 1.7 or later must be installed and configured
    If you haven’t installed PrestaShop yet, you can download it from the official PrestaShop website and follow their installation guide.

Installation Methods

You can install the SATIM Gateway module using one of the following methods:

  1. Download the SATIM Gateway module .zip file.
  2. Log in to your PrestaShop Back Office (Admin Panel).
  3. Navigate to Modules > Module Manager.
  4. Click Upload a Module at the top of the page.
  5. Select the downloaded .zip file and click Upload.
  6. Once the installation is complete, click Configure to set up the payment gateway.

b) Install via FTP (Alternative Method)

  1. Download the SATIM Gateway module .zip file and extract it.
  2. Connect to your website using an FTP client (such as FileZilla).
  3. Navigate to the /modules/ directory in your PrestaShop installation.
  4. Upload the extracted satim-gateway folder to this directory.
  5. Log in to your PrestaShop Back Office.
  6. Go to Modules > Module Manager, find SATIM Gateway, and click Install.
  7. After installation, click Configure to proceed with the setup.

2. Accessing the SATIM Gateway Settings

Once the SATIM Gateway module is installed and activated, follow these steps to access its settings:

  1. Log in to your PrestaShop Back Office.
  2. Navigate to Modules > Module Manager.
  3. Find SATIM Gateway in the list of installed modules.
  4. Click Configure to access the module settings.

3. Configuring SATIM Gateway

After activating the SATIM Gateway module, follow these steps to configure it:

1. Choose Environment Mode

On the settings page, select the Environment Mode:

  • Development – For testing transactions in a sandbox environment.
  • Production – For real transactions on a live store.

2. Enter API Credentials

Depending on the environment selected, enter the following credentials:

  • Development Mode (Testing Environment)

    • Development App Key
    • Development Secret Key
  • Production Mode (Live Environment)

    • Production App Key
    • Production Secret Key

⚠️ Important: Ensure that you use the correct keys for each environment to prevent errors during transactions.

3. Configure Payment Display Options

You can customize how the SATIM Gateway payment option appears to customers during checkout:

  • Enable or Disable the Gateway – Toggle the module on or off as needed.
  • Custom Payment Title – Change the text displayed at checkout (e.g., "Secure Payment via SATIM").
  • Transaction Confirmation Page – Set a custom page where customers are redirected after successful payments.

4. Business Information (Displayed on Receipt)

Enter your business details in the module settings:

  • Web Merchant Name – The name of your business or store.
  • Email Address – The contact email for payment confirmations.
  • Phone Number – The customer support phone number.

These details will appear on the payment receipt sent to customers.

5. Save Changes

After entering all the necessary information, click Save Changes to apply your settings.


4. Testing & Going Live

Before launching the payment module in production mode, perform a few test transactions in Development Mode to verify everything works as expected.

Testing in Development Mode:

  • Use the provided test API keys.
  • Complete a sample order and check if payment status updates correctly.
  • Review transaction logs in PrestaShop > Orders > Payment Transactions.

Switching to Production Mode:

  • Replace the test API keys with your Production App Key and Production Secret Key.
  • Ensure your business details and confirmation page settings are correct.
  • Perform a live transaction to confirm the gateway is working.
